Grocery Circular Highlights

Ahhh, grocery shopping... one of my favorite activities of all time (no, serious - I am kind of a freak like that. I think it has to do with being near all that beautiful food.)
What do our major grocery chains have to offer this week?

Albertsons:
First of all, did you know that Albertsons will take all competitors coupons? Not just Kings and Safeway either! Sunflower, Walmart, Sprouts (eh?) and Whole Paycheck (er, "Whole Foods").. So those cantalinas that spit out at you at your local fave? Be sure to give them at least a passing glance if you are in Albertsons.
Also this week:
If you are shopping the Alameda and Broadway location:
$1.99 - lb Top Sirloin Steaks
$2.99 - each portions of Atlantic Farm Raised Salmon (that is a stock up price, kids - if you aren't anti farm raised.. and I am SO not)
$0.39 - lb Dole Bananas
$0.88 - Albertsons Bread
All Stores:
$1.77 - lb b/s Chicken Breasts (I am loving the great prices on b/s chicken breast - this is $0.10 more than Sunflower last week, but still good.. but don't get used to it, these things are fleeting!)
$0.97 - lb Family Pack Assorted Loin Pork Chops
(if you want center cut, those are on sale for $3.99 lb bone-in or $4.99 lb boneless)
There is a 10 for $10.00 sale in the produce section, including Mangoes, Avocados(Safeway is better), Bell Peppers (all colors), 2 lb bags of Carrots and other veggies.

King Soopers:
$1.00 - 2 cans of Kroger Broth - (beef, chicken or veggie)
$2.99 - 8 lb bag of Russet potatoes
$3.00 - 2 Pomegranates
KS is also having an Apple Sale, with all types on sale and a "sweet to tart meter" on the back page of their circular so you can figure out which Apple meets your fruity needs.

Safeway:
$1.88 lb - Beef Cross Rib Roast (boneless)
$0.77 - Hass Avocados
$0.99 - 3 lbs Navel Oranges
$3.00 - 2 Pomegranates (good price lots of places - hooray!)


Don't pay more than $1.99 a gallon for your milk this week, and look for hard and soft squash to be no more than $1.00 an lb (if you don't see it for that, head to the next store, it will be!)
