Something's gotta give...

and for now, it is DiD.
The reality is that I can either keep up with getting the best deals for my family OR I can blog about it, but not both just now.
So DiD  is going MIA for now.  Thanks for the support, hot tips, and for linking to us in the past - keep hunting for those great Deals In Denver!

A lot can change in a week!

Well, I could have added "have baby" to my list of activities last weekend - because little Cooper joined the family on Sunday evening!

All is well at the Tree House, and DiD is going to take a little break while we enjoy some family time.

NEVER FEAR - here are some of the sites that make finding Deals in Denver a snap:

Mile High On The Cheap

Things To Do in Denver When You're Dead Broke

Denver Bargains (and the sister site, Springs Bargains)

(I will add to this list as I get time - but baby snuggles are taking priority right now.)

Wow - that whole week just kind of slipped away from me in a haze, and it is Weekender time again already!
This weekend for us is all about completing registries and heading for the car seat inspection station at our hospital to make sure that I wrenched that thing down into my seat correctly.  (Gotta keep the Cub safe and sound in his ride!)

What else is up around town (aside of more BEAUTIFUL weather that makes me so happy, of course)?

3/18-3/19 - This one is a whopper, people - it is time for the Just Between Friends Consignment Sale (actually, they call it an "Event,") at the Douglas County Fairgrounds.  It is a BIG one - lots of families selling - lots of deals to be had. Go here for all the info on location, hours, etc.

3/18- Santa Fe Arts District hosts 3rd Friday events (the calmer, less crowded answer to bustling 1st Fridays around town.) Perfect weather to stroll around and pop in to galleries to meet artists, snack on some food, and sip on some wine in a relaxed atmosphere.

3/19 - If you have safety on the brain like I do lately, you can head for Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City and take part in a free 45 minute First Aid Training and CPR basics class (not for certification,) with classes starting at 11AM, noon, 1PM and 2PM.  This is a great way to brush up or start getting a feel for the basics! Get more information here and sign up for this event, part of Gabrielle Giffords Honorary Save-a-Life Saturday, a national event honoring Rep. Giffords and all of those involved in the Tuscon Tragedy.
3/19 The Tattered Cover LoDo is hosting "Writers' Fest" this Saturday from 10am-12:30 pm. If you are a writer, would LIKE to be a writer, or have questions about the process involved,  this is your chance to listen to speakers, ask questions, and connect with area writers' groups and organizations around the area.
Go here for more details.
3/19 - Is your little one crazy for Dinosaurs?  Well then head for Dinosaur Ridge in Morrison this Saturday at 10 am for Dinosaur Detectives, Footprint Frenzy. It will feature a short outdoor course on dinosaur footprints at the Visitor Center with a mini field trip up to the track site on Dinosaur Ridge - all free of charge.
The event is targeted at 6-9year olds, but all are welcome.  Dinosaur Ridge Website.

Every Weekend:
Ruby Hill Rail Yard  gives you a chance to ski and board even if you can't get up the hill! This popular Denver snow terrain park also features free equipment rental for kids - get all the details and location here.
Fridays - Same old Friday night Happy Hour got ya down? Looking for a healthy way to unwind and get your weekend started? YOU GOT IT! Thanks to Luluemon stores (like our location in Cherry Creek) who offer free Friday evening yoga events each week! Here is the info for this week's class. (oh look, there IS wine and chat afterwards. In yoga AND in life, balance is important.) There are locations in Boulder and Lone Tree as well, see the website for details.

Saturdays- Amendment XXI in LoHi does free wine tastings every Saturday from 3pm-7pm. You can go here to get directions and subscribe to their mailing list so you can get info on upcoming tasting selections.
