6/25 - Belmar has live free music on the plaza on Friday from 5:30 -7:30 (The Skanson Strings are featured this week.) Get more information at Belmar's website.

6/25- From 6p.m. to 10p.m. tonight DAM has a pretty cool Final Friday event going on. It is part of their Untitled series of events, and it has a title (uh?) "Sloth". For just the cost of Museum admission, you can do all kinds of cool things at DAM tonight, all slow, deliberate, and mellow. Chill and contemplate one work of art during the Art Sit-in, learn about the slow food movement, try out this crazy "yoga" thing all the kids are talking about, just to name a few. Oh, and did I mention - WITH adult beverages? Yeah, it's all good. Find out everything here.

6/26-6/27 - Head for Sakura Square in Downtown this weekend to celebrate Japanese culture at the annual Cherry Blossom Festival! In addition to plenty of vendors, the festival features LOADS of free entertainment for the whole family. Get on your bike for free fun today!
If you do, you will be rewarded with Breakfast and activities at various stations around town. If you are headed downtown, the mothership of all the stations is at Civic Center Park - stop by any time until 9am for free breakfast - if you are headed some place else, never fear, there are LOADS of stations all over Denver, Boulder, and the 'burbs.

Weekender
What? Not a holiday? :::Pouting::: Fine, but it should be. (I am observing it by taking a 4 day weekend, heading to DUH's Farmers Market and the DPL Used Book Sale, and by pretending that banks and post offices are closed. So there.)

6/10-6/13 - One of my absolute faves every year, this weekend marks the 35th annual Friends of the Library DPL used book sale!! Sunflower Market Double Ad Wednesday Preview!
Last week's blackberries for $0.88 a container, Bok Choy for $0.50 lb, 2 for $1.00 Green Peppers, and 4 ears of corn for $1.00 all came home with me - but I might just grab another round of all of them tomorrow while taking advantage of this week's sales, including: $2.00 whole pineapples, pints of blueberries for $1.97, $0.88 bunches of celery, and 1.97 lb b/s chicken breasts in family packs (Although $1.77 lb b/s breasts come around fairly often at other stores lately, I know lots of my readers wait for good prices on SF's chicken - so TAH DAH!!!!)
