Weekender

What's fun and frugal around town this weekend?

2/5 - Don't forget about First Friday Events in the arts districts around town - go here for a good rundown of the neighborhoods you can check out.

2/5 - Fancy Tiger Clothing's Denver Made series showcases local designer Fallene Wells this evening from 7pm - 10pm at their store (14 South Broadway) with a trunk show of her latest line, "in a fun and casual environment with locally provided libations and a stunning soundtrack." Find more info here.

2/5 -Take your sweetie to the front desk at the Denver Art Museum on Friday after 5pm say "I embrace art!" and get 2 for 1 admission on any Friday night in February as part of their "Embrace Art Friday nights! BUT WAIT, your DAM date night (heh heh heh) doesn't end there, you will also get 2 for 1 on a round of wines by the glass at Palettes Restaurant. See details here.

2/6 -Hot Tip from the Fabulous Sara_c: The South Metro firefighters will be at the Lone Tree Library on Saturday at 11 for family storytime. Looks like they may let the kiddos "tour" their fire truck. (Not bad for mommies either... Is it wrong that I said that?)

2/6 - It's a free day at the Denver Art Museum on Saturday! Free general admission tickets are available for all, starting at 10am on Saturday morning. Want more info? Check out the DAM website ( Heh heh, "dam website." I can't stop now.)

2/6 - Don't forget about my new favorite thing, Denver Urban Homesteading's weekly Farmer's Market. It takes place every Saturday year round at DUH's (that is what they call themselves, I didn't do it!) headquarters: 200 Santa Fe Drive Denver, CO 80204. It is open from 9am - 2pm every Saturday, which gives you ample time to stop in. See DUH's website for more info. _________________________

2/6 - Chocolate is a good thing. Arvada recognizes that, and has seen fit to create an event to celebrate all the soothing, treating, healing, tasty fabulousness that it has to offer. On Saturday from 11am - 3pm on the Olde Towne Square, the city of Arvada is holding "A Chocolate Affair." Admission is $1.00 per person, or $5.00 for 6 people and there is a mix of free and ticketed activities for the whole family. See the city's website for all the details. ________________________
2/7 - Superbowl = NO for you? (Me too.. ewww.) Well, Sunday is a free admission day at the Denver Zoo, so bring your patience, not your paycheck, and head over to City Park to say hello to all the wild things! Check the website for directions and hours. (Maybe the big game will even ease some congestion for the free day? We can hope.)

Happy weekend, Dealers - and as always, if there is anything going on that other Dealers should know about, post it below in the comments.
