I Don't Really "do" Black Friday..

Ok, I admit it, though I LOVE a good deal (I mean really LOVE - as in "enough to blog about it" type love,) I can't bring myself to do the early morning or scary crowd that is Black Friday.
That being said, it doesn't seem right to skip over it here at DiD, so I pass the mic to you, Dealers.

Post the Black Friday deals you are most excited about, or other info that your fellow Dealers *should* be getting from me, but aren't in the comments section below.

Meanwhile, I leave you with this link to help you plot and navigate your way through the deals, should you be so inclined. I am sleeping in.

Happy Thanksgiving, Denver!

Sunflower Double Ad Wednesday Preview

Ahhh, Thanksgiving. Groceries' big day to shine.
As always, Sunflower Market is here with fabulous deals to make sure we don't cook our goose when buying our turkey (so-to-speak.)

Last week's ad had some great buys including that cheap-o b/s chicken breast (yes, I know you will have leftover turkey for a while, but stock up for the freezer - you will be happy you did when the turkey is a memory and chicken breast is a rip off.)

And in what is kind of a bummer (no different ad overlapping for new sales) it appears that last week's ad is good through December 2nd. What does this mean? Well, it means you have plenty of time to horde chicken, I guess.

It also means I am pretty much done with this post, eh?

Hot Tip on Mr Potatohead

This from the very deal-savvy Tena:

Toys R Us is having another doorbuster sale this weekend (Fri night/Sat morning) with Mr./Mrs. Potatohead for $3.99. I don't know that TRU takes coupons but Target does, so you could do price matching and use the $2 off coupon here to get a final price of $1.99.

Good Company, Free Meal.

Each third Thursday of the month, St Philip and St James Episcopal Church opens its doors to the community to host a free dinner at 6pm. The meal offers a chance to meet new people or catch up with old friends in your community and enjoy good food, good company, and gracious hosts. (No preaching etc, here folks - just a chance to connect.)
The Church is located at 2797 S. Lowell Blvd. Call 303-936-3922 for more information.

Weekender

TGIF, Dealers - welcome to the weekend!
I, for one, am pooped.... any time I get on the sofa this weekend will be well-appreciated, I can tell you that. It will also be limited. Fabulous bff T scored some of the girls half price tickets to the Botanic Gardens Holiday Sale preview party, so I will be checking that out this evening with a few of my favorite friends and getting my Christmas shop on; tomorrow SHOULD be a cooking and cleaning frenzy (we shall see,) and Sunday it is off to Highlands Ranch for brunch at beautiful M's place (God willing and the show piles don't rise TOO much.)
What about you? Here's a few suggestions!

11/13-11/15 -BTW, if you want to check out the Botanic Gardens Holiday Sale (or the gardens themselves, as they dip into their peaceful Fall slumber,) the sale and the gardens are free this weekend (Saturday and Sunday), so go stock up on great gift ideas and wander thru the chilly garden to get you in a festive mood.

SF Market Double Ad Wednesday, tipsy ed.

FINE - I admit it.. I have been to Happy Hour. I am NOT sober.
But the show must go on, and Double Ad Wednesday is tomorrow at Sunflower Market, so we must address it, right? Stay with me, kids...

Last week was good - you can review the deals here.

Let's talk this week, because there are some great deals to be found there, and spell-check to save me from totally botching them up...

1st of all, they have come up with a holiday specials ad for Thanksgiving. Find it all here.
Also, if you are starting to think that promising Mother-in-law that you would make the whole dinner, and "don't you worry about a thing" was getting in over your head, they will solve that problem with a complete spread starting at $24.99.. (well, OK that is just for two, so that would be if you promised your sweetie - but $49.99 will save you for a small group.) Check it out in the link above.

Other deals this week:
In Denver check it all out here
$2.99 lb - chuck roast
$1.97 lb - family packs of 85% ground beef (you can find cheaper, but SF Market is great quality!)
$3.00 - for 2 - 5.5 oz packages of blackberries
$0.49 lb - Oranges
$1.00 - 10 Limes Yes, that is 10 for $1.00!
$0.77 lb - Broccoli or Winter Squash
$1.00 - for 2 - Cucumbers
$1.00 - 3 lbs of onions or baking potatoes

What did I miss? Seriously, I've had some cocktails, so tell your fellow Dealers if there are different Deals in your own 'hood or if I have glaring deals missing from the list. Mama has to lay down.

SF Market Double Ad Wednesday Preview

Was it really already a week ago that I was doing my crazy snow dance and not-so-secretly hoping that none of us could shovel out of our parking spaces to even GET to SF Market for Double Ad Wednesday!?
Time flys, Dealers!!

So there was some good stuff last week, which you can peruse here.

This week has plenty worth mentioning too:

$1.77 lb - b/s chicken breasts - we have recently seen them up to 10 cents lower, but this is pretty darn good!
$1.00 - for 5 Rio Red Texas Grapefruit
$1.00 - for 2 Hass Avocados
$0.29 - lb. Yellow Onions
$0.88 - each, bunches of Spinach, or Red or Green Leaf Lettuce, lbs of soft skin squash
$3.00 - for 2, 5 lb bags of Russet Potatoes

Oh well, I guess the sun does feel kind of nice, doesn't it... But I sure did like that snow day!

Come out for a Denver Tradition

This Sunday is the annual Champagne Cascade at the Brown Palace. It is the perfect way to kick off the season (especially if you are like me, and can't wait for Thanksgiving to start your holiday marry-making each year!)
There is no charge to attend and stand with fellow surfs on the upper floors to bask in the glow of the season and watch the bubbly flow.. If you want to cough up 50 bucks you can be on the 2nd floor in the VIP area, with booze and food included (let's face it, I could easily get through 50 bucks worth of booze and food in that time - it isn't even a challenge.. but I digress.)
Check out the details here, and if you can't make it out for the cascade, then stop by The Brown during the holiday season to see it all decked out in holiday glory.
(The only thing I love more is when the Grand Champion Steer from the Stock Show comes to the hotel for high tea.. ahhhh, Denver...)
