Weekender

WEEK-END, WEEK-END, WEEK-END!! (Chant with me now, people. You know you want to.)
The glorious weekend is here - it may even be a long one for some of you (not I though - pout.)

So, what can you do around Denver that won't break the bank?

through 2/20 -  The Habitat for Humanity "Books for Bricks" used book sale started on Valentine's Day and continues through the weekend at  the First Universalist Church of Denver, on the corner of Hampden Avenue and Colorado Boulevard.  The Interfaith Alliance is  selling books, DVDs, and CDs at dirt cheap prices to benefit Habitat.  More info here.

2/18-2/21 - Do you go gaga over a wagging, panting, furry little face like I do? Well then the Stock Show Complex is the place for you this weekend, as it plays host to The Denver Dog Show! 5 bucks is all it costs for adults, and kiddos and seniors are free! It isn't just about the judging, either - there will be info sessions on various breeds, both introductory and advanced, vendors showing off their doggie products, and lots of other family fun.  See their website for all the information.

2/18-2/19 - The Rocky Mountain Christian Church MOPS group is hosting a sale of gently used children's items this Friday (9am-8pm) and Saturday (9am-4pm) including all kinds of toys, baby and kids gear, and clothing. The sale is happening at the Boulder County Fair Grounds in Longmont, and admission is free for this one!

2/19 - Saturday is the last Colorado resident free admission day at the Denver Zoo until the Fall! (October 9th, to be exact, if you want to mark your calendars,) and the weather is supposed to be clear and crisp - so load up the family and head over to say howdy to all the animals on Saturday.
