7/9 - In honor of Denver's Biennial of the Americas, CORE art gallery in the Santa Fe Arts District is hosting an Artists' reception for its current juried exhibition, Locally Grown, Denver's Freshest Art, showcasing the strength of our local art community. 7/9 - The Blockbusters in the Parks movie series is back at Sloans Lake this week, and the film is Where the Wild Things are! So load your little wild things into the mini-van and go enjoy this family favorite under the stars, along with free popcorn, snow cones, and cotton candy! Get the details here.

7/9-7/11- City Park is the site of the 24th annual Colorado Black Arts Festival this weekend, with the festival open from 10am-8pm each day. Vendors, performances, demonstrations and celebrations of all kind of art will be going on every day at the festival. Go here for all the information. A $2.00 donation is suggested for entrance.

7/10 - Lowes Build n Grow Clinic this week features a classic ball and cup game for your little one to build and take home. Go here to find a location and register for the free clinic. Clinic begins at 10am.

Fridays - Downtown and itching to get out for a little sneak peak of the weekend and soak up some sun? Head for Skyline Park for their concert series each Friday from noon - 1:15. Check out the line-up here.

Fridays - Same old Friday night Happy Hour got ya down? Looking for a healthy way to unwind and get your weekend started? YOU GOT IT! Thanks to Luluemon stores (like our location in Cherry Creek) who offer free Friday evening yoga events each week! Here is the info for this week's class. (oh look, there IS wine and chat afterwards. In yoga AND in life, balance is important.) There are locations in Boulder and Lone Tree as well, see the website for details.

Sundays- The Denver Cruisers have expanded their schedule of bike rides this summer to include not only their themed Wednesday rides, but also Sunday Funday Rides. These are not themed, just a chance for a relaxing bike ride with other folks who love bikes on Sunday afternoons. Sundays- City Park Jazz serves up free live music at the band shell at City Park every Sunday at 6:00p.m. Pack that picnic basket and those plastic wine glasses and squeeze the last little bit of weekendiness out of your Sunday evening.
