  1. I browse the clearance sections. I score clothes over half off for myself and DS.

  2. I shop online frequently and use my Discover Cashback bonus gift cards, use the ShopDiscover website and Ebates for additional cash back on purchases I can find online codes for... It gets a little convoluted, but I rarely pay retail for anything.

  3. I always buy once stuff goes on clearance, it's no secret that the stuff on the rack at all of my favorite retailers only sits on the shelf for a month or so before it moves on over to the clearance rack - if you can resist the stuff when it's put out brand new and check back often you can save at least 30%!

  4. Never, even buy full price. If you absolutely love something, keep watching it and it will eventually be marked down.
I do a lot of end of season shopping and buy things for next year.
Like Kate- I use my Discover for everything and then use the rewards for fun purchases on clothing.

  5. Ebates is a great tool to get money back when shopping online. I also have a rule lately that I don't buy clothes without one a coupon and/or two it being on sale. Following blogs - such as yours - is helpful in saving money all over town.

  6. Never pay full price. Unless it's a featured item (like a sparkle-y jacket or something,) it is always going to be marked down, and 99% of the time--they will still have it in your size. Ask the manager what day(s) of the week they do their markdowns. Sign up to get information via email and text message, for info on special sales, deals and secret offers.

  7. Thanks for the link. I don't have to dress up much for work, but another way I save money on clothes by going to my favorite stores (Banana, Anthrolpologie, etc.) and checking out what I love, then finding the best knock-off styles at department or bigger box stores.
